quite a crowd

record breaking numbers and an entire lamb consumed -- this year's festivities and food were declared by many to be the best ever. elaine's shrimp had barely made it to the table before being instantly devoured. here's the ingredient list so you can try it yourselves:

elaine's garlic fried shrimp
soaked wooden skewers
2# shrimp
1/4 C parsley
1T garlic
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup olive oil
lemon wedges (optional)

nice work on the skewering and grilling, Jesse. Elaine also concocted the wittily entitled "salmon sharmas" (cucumber, cream cheese, smoked salmon, dill), blue cheese stuffed grapes and delectable peas with curry and peanuts. yum.

after boise we flew to minneapolis, where we met up with sam's mom and whitney the wonder dog. a day later we began our drive west.

we spent a few days in boise with the phillips clan: adam, stephanie and their little guy ezra.
