When I read the book, the biography famous,
And is this then (said I) what the author calls a man's life?
And so will some one when I am dead and gone write my life?
(As if any man really knew aught of my life,
Why even I myself I often think know little or nothing of my real life,
Only a few hints, a few diffused faint clews and indirections
I seek for my own use to trace out here.)

gardening?

we're back (sam from michigan, kk from spokane/seattle), so the blog rightfully returns to kilroy...

this is our first year gardening. we've planted carrots, cucumbers, squash, spinach, tomatoes (three varieties) and lettuce. we're really doubtful if any of it will come up, but we've definitely put in the effort. kk also brought stones up from the shore to make pathways between the beds, so things will look nice even if they stay barren.
